SOLAT (IN SCIENCE AND HEALTH)

Today is the day where all Muslims go for Friday prayer. It be a responsibility for them to complete the pray as stated in the Al-Quran, the holy book of Muslims,  Islam world.

O you who have believed, when (the adhan) is called for prayer on the day of Jumu'ah (Friday), then proceed to the remembrance of Allah and leave trade, that is better for you, if you only know.
Al-Jumu'ah 62 : 9

WHAT IS SOLAT (THE MUSLIMS PRAYER) IN SCIENCE AND HEALTH VIEW ???

A scientific study on benefit of solat reveal that it not only improves spiritual well-being, but also can benefit physical and mental health. Researcher found that solat can stabilize our heart beat especially during sujud (prostration) position where Muslim knelt with their forehead, nose, both palms and knees touching the floor.

During the rukuk (bowing with hands resting on both knees), it helps to relax the spinal cord and reduces the risk of pressure on spinal cord beside being an abstract meaning of humble and humility.

During sujud (prostration), it helps to reposition our kidney and womb and reduce tension of the lungs. It also relieve muscle, producing a stronger and elastic and smoothing our blood flow. For those who wants to reduce obesity, sujud can be one of the ways. The most important thing is sujud make more blood flow to the brain providing more oxygen to the brain and refreshing our minds.

For the whole solat, it being a exercise for our eyes since our view is different between each position. During standing, our eyes looks at a far view and while rukuk, our eyes looks at a medium distance. During sujud, our eyes looks a very short distance. It is the same for the exercise recommended by scientists which to look for a far and a short distance for particular time.

Therefore, solat also brings benefit not only in spiritual, but also in health. For Muslims, don't forget to perform your prayer 5 times a day and not only the Friday prayer (for men).

WE PROUD TO BE MUSLIMS...........
